british american entertainment
Established in 1993 as an extension of the publishing company, British American Entertainment has an ongoing commitment to bringing works of fine literature to film. Because of the book properties that were acquired by British American Publishing, it was a natural development within the industry to expand into film.
British American Entertainment's first film, Our Mother's Murder, received one of Hollywood's distinguished PRISM awards in 1998. This was followed by the critically acclaimed Joe Torre: Curveballs Along the Way about the manager of the New York Yankees, starring Paul Sorvino, Isaiah Washington and Robert Loggia. Bernard's (l) third production is entitled Nuremberg, starring Alec Baldwin and Christopher Plummer, based on the book Nuremberg: Infamy on Trial by Joseph E. Persico (r). Nuremberg is a Turner Network Television (TNT) miniseries that was viewed by more than 23 million people and is ranked second among all TNT miniseries. The film was awarded two Emmys in 2001. |
